I know, I know. I do a lot of polka dots. This one was by request. I was asked to create a centerpiece for the Relief Society birthday dinner. The theme was going to be something about heritage so I WAS going to make a covered wagon. How cool is that! Anyway, I guess they changed the theme to Circle of Sisters and they asked me to change the design at the last minute. It did go from a 3 day project to a 24 hour one. I guess that was nice. It also gave me a chance to do a different bow-type that I've been wanting to try. All in all, it's a cute cake and now I can do the bows.

Dukes of Hazzard
Time for another learning experience.
Each time I am asked to do a vehicle, I learn a little more. This time I learned how to do really tiny letters.

Mary Engelbriet Part 3
There are endless possibilities when you are given Mary Engelbreit as inspiration for a cake. There are only 3 things that NEED to be there.
1. Checkers. Whether black and white, blue and white, or red and white, there are always checkers SOMEwhere. I put them at the top this time.
2. Flowers. Mary Engelbriet's flowers are darling and unique. They are colorful and very fun to do. I cheated a little and did generic flowers because I was short on time, but I have flowers.
3. A Wonderful cake stand. I wish I could take credit for this cake stand, but it is not mine and I do not know where to get one. However, I have borrowed it several times and will continue to whenever I have a cutesy cake to make.

Ever since I first made it, I had planned on making a cake to match.
First, however, came matching cupcake toppers...
